The Finnish Center for Service and Relationship Management (FCSRM)

FCSRM was established in 1994 as one of the first graduate schools of KATAJA. The initiators were prof. Christian Grönroos from Hanken School of Economics and prof. Uolevi Lehtinen from Tampere University. Today FCRSM has 30 – 40 members including many international doctoral students and representing many KATAJA universities in Finland.

The special research focus of FCSRM is service and relationship management which is broadly defined to include relationships, interaction, and networks in various business-to-consumer, business-to-business, and organizational settings. FCSRM is furthermore characterized as  a multi-disciplinary  graduate school covering for example the marketing, organization studies, management, IT, financial and or accounting disciplines. FCSRM members and their research topics represent these disciplines.

FCSRM aims to strengthen its members’ research skills by:

1. fostering national and international network connections to other research groups and institutions

2. organizing intensive tutorials/workshops with domestic and foreign professors

3. offering method-, core, and special doctoral courses with domestic and foreign professors

4. enabling supervision support from selected foreign professors

5. acting as tutors in committees for individual doctoral projects

6. hosting international scholars and doctoral students

7. managing the graduate school program
