The Finnish Doctoral Program in Business Studies
Welcome to KATAJA’s home page
KATAJA organizes courses and tutorials for doctoral students in business studies. KATAJA’s course offering consists of core subject courses, specialized courses, and courses in research skills. Core subject courses cover central theories of key research areas in business (accounting, finance, international business, logistics and supply chain management, management and organization, marketing). Specialty courses focus on topical themes within each of these research areas. Courses in research skills consists of courses in research methodology and philosophy of science.
KATAJA courses are open for all doctoral students in business affiliated with any of its member universities (including all business schools in Finland). Students from fields other than business are admitted based on availability of seats in the course.
In short, KATAJA
- Offers high quality doctoral courses that also support networking of both students and faculty, both nationally and internationally.
- Supports external mentoring and advising for doctoral research through subject-specific tutorials and workshops organized by KATAJA Graduate Schools.
- Collaborates with international organizations, such as the EIASM/EDEN, in organizing and offering courses and other activities for doctoral students.
