Doctoral Colloquium in Marketing 19-21.8.2024

The theme of 2024 DENIM-KATAJA Doctoral Colloquium is the Future of Doctoral Education.

Join us in the capital region at the event hosted by the Aalto University School of Business. You will have the chance to attend all doctoral colloquium sessions ranging from insightful keynote speeches and the Colloquium dinner to presentations of research papers and proposals, as well as participate in roundtable discussions on academic careers and research funding. The DENIM-KATAJA Doctoral Colloquium offers a great venue for networking and discussions with scholars in the broad field of marketing.

2024 DENIM-KATAJA Doctoral Colloquium invites doctoral students and researchers to apply for participation in the three-day colloquium event.

The colloquium will be hosted by Aalto University School of Business between 19th and 21st of August, 2024 in the capital region.

The Doctoral Colloquium offers doctoral researchers in marketing an opportunity to engage in discussions regarding their dissertation research alongside fellow students and esteemed academics in the marketing field. The Colloquium welcomes topics and methodological approaches spanning the broad spectrum of marketing.

The event will primarily feature parallel tracks, organized based on the topical or methodological focus of participants’ research as well as the stage of their dissertation progress. Doctoral students at various stages of their dissertation journey are encouraged to apply for participation.

The Doctoral Colloquium promises a collaborative, supportive, and congenial environment. In line with this ethos, attendees are expected to be present for the duration of the Colloquium.

We invite researchers and scholars to submit their original contributions on various aspects of marketing for consideration. Original contributions can be the research plan of your dissertation, an extended abstract of a future paper project you are planning to work on, or one of the essays/articles you plan to include in your dissertation. The page limit for the submission is max. 20 pages (Times New Roman, 12p, 1.0 line spacing, including figures and tables, excluding reference list). The papers will be made available only to the faculty discussants of the event.

Please include the following information in the cover page of your submission;

– Name of author (and possible co-authors and their role in the paper)

– Starting date of doctoral studies

– Present situation of the studies

– Affiliation

– Supervisor(s) of the dissertation
