FIGSIB DOCTORAL TUTORIAL IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS 2026
The University of Vaasa organizes the FIGSIB Annual Doctoral Tutorial in International Business on Tuesday, 18 August 2026. Doctoral students are encouraged to submit their research plans in the field of International Business (IB), and we welcome both early-stage and more advanced doctoral students. The objective of the tutorial is to provide doctoral students with an opportunity to discuss and receive feedback on their work from professors attending the Vaasa IB Conference. Admittance is based on the relevance of the research topic to international business.
Submission should be made through the 18th Vaasa International Business conference website, doctoral tutorial: https://sites.uwasa.fi/internationalbusinessconference/doctoral-tutorial/. The submission should include the following files (all in one PDF-file):
• Title Page
Title of the work
Name of author
Title of the author
Starting date of doctoral studies
Present situation of the studies
Affiliation
Supervisor(s) of the dissertation
• Short abstract
The length of the short abstract should be 300-500 words, using Times New Roman 12 font and line spacing of 1.15. Include 5 keywords.
• Main text
The main text should be written using Times New Roman 12 font and line spacing of 1.15. The length of the papers should not exceed 8000 words, including references, tables, appendices, etc. Early-stage papers must be a minimum of 4000 words.
• References
The tutorial is free of charge for all doctoral students from the Finnish KATAJA member universities.
KEY DATES
Submission opens on 1 April, 2026
Submission deadline is on 8 May, 2026
(Updated versions can be submitted by 31 July, 2026)
Acceptance letters will be sent by 16 June, 2026
Tutorial: Tuesday 18th of August 2026
The event will be organized at the University of Vaasa. The tutorial will take place on campus to enable networking and to offer a live presentation experience.
