FIGSIB DOCTORAL TUTORIAL IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS 2023
The University of Vaasa is going to organize the FIGSIB Annual Doctoral Tutorial in International Business (IB) on Tuesday 15 August 2023. Doctoral students are encouraged to submit their research plans related to the field of IB, and we welcome both early-stage and more advanced students. The objective of the tutorial is to provide an opportunity for doctoral students in the field of IB to discuss and get expert feedback on their work from professors and scholars attending the 17th Vaasa Conference on International Business 2023. Admittance is based on the relevance of the topic to IB.
Submission to the doctoral tutorial through the 17th Vaasa Conference on International Business website: https://sites.uwasa.fi/internationalbusinessconference/doctoral-tutorial/. The submission should include the following (all in one PDF-file):

• Short abstract
The length of the short abstract should be 300-500 words, font Times New Roman 12 and line spacing 1.15. Include 5 keywords.
• Main text
The main text should be written in font Times New Roman 12 and line spacing 1.15. The length of the papers should not exceed 8000 words including references, tables, appendices, etc. Early stage papers must be of at least 4000 words.
• References
The tutorial is offered free of charge to all doctoral students in the Finnish KATAJA member universities.

The event will be organized at the University of Vaasa premises. The current plan is that the event is organized on campus face to face in Vaasa to enable networking and to offer live presentation experience. We will follow the health recommendations related to the pandemic (if applicable) and update the tutorial program, if need be.

GRAMO DOCTORAL TUTORIAL 2023
IN MANAGEMENT, ORGANIZATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Graduate School of Management and Organization (GRAMO) doctoral tutorial is held October 5-6, 2023. The tutorial is co-organized by Aalto School of Business & Hanken School of Economics together with the Kataja’s GRAMO graduate school and it will take place at the Aalto campus in Otaniemi, Espoo.
The objective of the GRAMO tutorial is to provide an opportunity for doctoral researchers (or doctoral students, if you prefer that term) in the field of management, organization, and entrepreneurship studies to present and discuss their research work and to learn how to review and provide feedback to others. Perhaps most importantly, this is an opportunity to get to know and network with colleagues from across the Finnish universities, be it doctoral researchers or faculty members, in the spirit of mutual learning. Doctoral researchers have also the opportunity to formulate questions and propose topics for a panel discussion comprising both junior and senior academics.
Doctoral researchers from all Finnish universities are welcome to submit either (1) a paper or (2) their doctoral research plan. Submissions from early- to late-stage doctoral researchers are welcome, as are both early-stage, work-in-progress, and more advanced papers.
The tutorial is targeted at, and free of charge for all doctoral students in the Finnish KATAJA member universities.

Instructions for sessions and presentations
Each presenter will be provided a slot of 45 minutes. Each slot consists of (1) the author’s 10-minute presentation, (2) 20 minutes of feedback by fellow PhD and faculty discussants, and (3) 15 minutes for general discussion.

DENIM DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM IN MARKETING 2022
Doctoral Colloquium in Marketing 23-24.11.2022
The Department of Marketing at the University of Vaasa will host the Doctoral Colloquium in Marketing, financed by KATAJA (Finnish Doctoral Programme in Business Studies). The objective of the tutorial is to provide an opportunity for doctoral students in the field of marketing to present and discuss their dissertation research with faculty members and fellow students. We welcome new and advanced doctoral students to send a paper on their doctoral dissertation for presentation at the colloquium. The papers will receive feedback from experienced researchers in marketing.
The submitted paper can be a prolonged research proposal, or a paper that will form one essay/article in your thesis. In the latter case, one page (at least) must present the relationship between the paper and your whole thesis. The length of the paper is maximum 20 pages (Times New Roman 12pt, line spacing 1.5) including figures and tables, but excluding references and cover page. The papers will be made available only to discussants.
Please, submit your research plan or research paper in a PDF format by the deadline (use the link below). Indicate in the submitted document, on the cover page, the following details:

· Name of author (and possible co-authors and their role in the paper)
· Starting date of doctoral studies · Present situation of the studies

Instructions for parallel sessions/presentation:
Each presenter will be provided a slot of 45 minutes, consisting of: the author’s 15 minutes presentation, discussants (Professor and Fellow PhD) will have 20 minutes for comments and the remaining 10 minutes is for general discussion.
The colloquium is free of charge to all participants from the KATAJA member universities. However, each participant is expected to stand for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Please, mark the event in your calendar! This is an important national event for networking with other doctoral students and faculty from the different universities.

GRAMO DOCTORAL TUTORIAL IN MANAGEMENT & ORGANIZATION 2022
The Graduate School of Management and Organization (GRAMO) doctoral tutorial is held October 5-6 2022. The tutorial is co-organized by University of Turku & Åbo Akademi together with Kataja’s GRAMO graduate school in M&O.
While doctoral tutorials in the field of M&O have a long tradition, in the last years, they have not been organized. In 2021, the GRAMO professoral board decided it was time to launch the annual tutorial tradition again, and in so doing, re-create a Finnish scholarly community in the field of M&O.
The objective of the tutorial is to provide an opportunity for doctoral students in the field of M&O to present and discuss their work and to learn how to review and provide feedback to others. Perhaps most importantly, though, this is an opportunity to get to know colleagues from across the Finnish universities, be it PhD students or faculty members, in the spirit of networking and learning.
Doctoral students from all Finnish universities are welcome to submit either (1) their research plan or (2) a paper in the field of management & organization. Submissions from early- to late-stage PhD researchers are welcome, as are both early-stage, work-in-progress and more advanced papers.
